Basic Online Baccarat Rules

In Online Baccarat one of the most important things to remember is that you don’t have to bet just on your hand winning. You can bet on either the bankers hand winning or your hand winning. In fact, you can also bet on a tie between yours and the banker’s hands.

The object of Online Baccarat is simple –

The object of Online Baccarat is to get a two card hand as close to nine as possible. To do this both you and the banker will be dealt two cards. If the hand that you are betting on (it could be yours or the bankers) wins then you win double your original bet - even money 1:1. However, if you have bet on a tie and you win you get an 8:1 return.

Know your Online Baccarat Card Values –

The Rules of Online Baccarat are even easier to understand when you have a good knowledge of Baccarat card values. We go into more detail on the Baccarat Hand Values page, but below is an easy reference Card Value indicator:

10’s and face cards in Online Baccarat count as a 0 and there is NO number 10 in the game. All cards two through nine are worth their face value and Ace counts as a 1.

Only 2 hands in baccarat are ever dealt at one time –

Regardless of how many players are at a Baccarat table only two hands are dealt – one for the banker and another for the player. Other players can bet on these hands.

Please Note: When playing Online Baccarat if the first two cards on a draw total an 8 or a 9 then the hand is declared a “Natural” and automatically wins. The only time this does not happen is if both the player and the banker tie with “Naturals”. In this case another card is drawn to determine the winner.
